Two men have been charged with the abductions of two women, one a cellist in the El Camino College Symphony.
Francisco Morales, 26, a transient, and Jose Trujillo, 23, whose residence is unknown, appeared Thursday in Municipal Court in Torrance for arraignment, but it was postponed one week. They were ordered held without bail.
Deputy Dist. Atty. Ronald Geltz said the attacks occurred March 22 in Hawthorne and March 25 on the campus of El Camino College in Torrance.
In the first incident, a 27-year-old woman was abducted at knifepoint when she left her job at 137th Street near Prairie Avenue. She was held by the defendants for eight hours, sexually assaulted and then released, Geltz said.
The second attack occurred on the college campus when a 23-year-old UCLA student, who plays cello in the El Camino College Symphony, was kidnaped at knifepoint, sexually assaulted and held for 16 hours.
