Six years after the telephone was introduced to the United States in 1876, it found its way to Pasadena. In 1882, the first Pasadena telephone was installed in Barney Williams’ general store on Fair Oaks Avenue. Wesley Bunnell, a clerk in the store, was the first to use the phone.
