SIMI VALLEY : Human Skeleton Found on Hillside

Share

Ventura County sheriff’s investigators--searching for clues in the death of an 8-year-old boy who was found gagged and burned last Friday--discovered a human skeleton on a rural hillside near Simi Valley on Saturday morning.

Lt. Bill Montijo, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman, said the bones were found about 8 a.m. near Black Canyon Road, not far from where the boy, Paul Bailly, was found.

Pieces of bones, believed to be part of the skeleton, were found earlier in the week, investigators said.

The discovery of the skeleton is not related to the Bailly case, police said. Medical examiners, who were examining the bones Saturday evening to try to determine the cause of death, said they do not know how long the skeleton has been on the hillside.
