Rapper Out: Professor Griff of rap group Public Enemy has left the group to concentrate on a solo career, sources close to the rappers say. Griff, the group’s “Minister of Information,” was dropped from the group last year because of the furor over comments in a Washington Times interview that Jews were behind “the majority of the wickedness” in the world. He was reinstated in a lesser, but still visible role. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times before the recent release of his debut solo album, “Pawns in the Game,” Griff backed off from those remarks, but held to theories of a global conspiracy against minorities.
