The Hawaii Golden Gloves amateur boxing tournament was canceled by University of Hawaii officials after a fight erupted between boxers, coaches and spectators during a bout Friday night at the university’s Klum Gym.

Witnesses told police the fight started when the coach of the team of boxers from Waianae punched a member of the Army boxing team in the face. There were no arrests.
