COSTA MESA : Guest With a Knife Slashes Party-Goers
A knife-wielding party guest slashed five young men, including one across the mouth, early Sunday after a fight broke out inside a Costa Mesa apartment, police reported.
Lt. Gary Webster said the attack occurred about 12:30 a.m. at 1040 El Camino Drive. During the melee, a guest branished a knife and attacked other party-goers before he fled on foot wearing only a pair of black pants.
The victims, with injuries ranging from cuts to a punctured lung, were taken to five different hospitals for treatment. They are all between 19 and 21 years old. Webster said the reasons for the attack or the fight are not known at this time.
Police are seeking a Samoan male, age 22 to 25, who is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
