Sean Higgins, who helped Michigan win an NCAA basketball championship a year ago, said he has withdrawn from school and will make himself available for the NBA draft.
Higgins, a 6-foot-9 junior who played at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, was both a forward and a guard during his three seasons with the Wolverines. During the 1989-90 season, he averaged 14 points and 3.6 rebounds a game.
Higgins suffered a hairline stress fracture in his foot in January and was unable to reclaim his spot in the Wolverine starting lineup after his return.
