Sports Daily Plans Expansion: The National, the sports daily that has been publishing editions in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles for the past 2 1/2 months, plans to begin editions this summer in San Diego and San Francisco, publisher Peter Price said. Price said in a telephone interview that he expects that the San Diego edition will start by July 1 and a San Francisco edition will be launched in July. He said the newspaper plans to add at least one city a month to its lineup during the last five months of the year but was not ready to identify the cities.
