LOCAL : Teen Couple in Murder-Suicide
A 18-year-old man and his 17-year-old girlfriend were found dead in a house south of downtown Los Angeles in an apparent murder-suicide, authorities said today.
The bodies were found at 825 E. Adams Blvd. about 10 p.m. Monday, Sgt. Tom Jones said.
Witnesses told detectives that the shooting apparently stemmed from a dispute between the couple “that resulted in a murder-suicide,” Jones said.
Fernando Perez Ortega, 18, shot and killed his girlfriend, Evangelina Guzman, 17, then turned the gun on himself, Jones said.
The circumstances leading to the shooting were not disclosed.
