As unlikely as it may have sounded when the playoffs began April 4, hockey will again top this weekend’s sports viewing choices.

Projected by many experts to be routed by the Calgary Flames in the opening round, the Kings continue their quest for the Stanley Cup Sunday against the Edmonton Oilers. Prime Ticket will carry the third game of the Smythe Division Finals at 7:30 p.m.

The Angels and Dodgers both make television appearances today. The Angels face the Minnesota Twins at 10 a.m. on Channels 2 and 8 in CBS’ final baseball telecast until June 16. The same teams meet Sunday at 11 a.m. on Channel 5.

Pro football fans have their first opportunity since the Pro Bowl to see their sport represented on the airwaves as ESPN telecasts the 65th annual NFL Draft, beginning 9 a.m. Sunday.

For a brief moment today, George Foreman will be young, thin and seemingly invincible. Channels 4, 36 and 39 will replay his 1974 heavyweight championship fight against Muhammad Ali at 1 p.m. as NBC’s “Saturday Sports Showcase” begins its look at “The Greatest Fights Ever.”
