A 16-year-old boy was arrested Friday for allegedly stabbing and killing a man after the victim left a party in Valinda, authorities said.
The 25-year-old victim was attacked in the 1400 block of Vanderwell Avenue about 2:20 a.m., Sheriff’s Deputy Dean Scoville said. “The victim was stabbed once in the upper torso by one of two suspects who jumped out of some bushes,” Scoville said. Deputies did not release the victim’s name. He lived in the area.
The 16-year-old was booked on suspicion of murder and was held without bail, Scoville said.
