The body of an unidentified man was found floating in Lake Poway on Sunday, the victim of an apparent suicide, according to the San Diego County coroner’s office.
The man, believed to be between 30 an 45 years old, was discovered by fishermen at the lake, who reported the find to lake rangers at 10:15 a.m., Deputy Coroner Bob Engle said.
The man was described as 6 feet tall, white, 200 pounds, with brown hair and mustache. He was wearing jeans and cowboy boots.
There were diver’s weights attached to his belt. He appeared to have to have been dead for a about a week, Engle said.
