Intersection to Be Improved
Torrance traffic planners will improve the complicated intersection of Van Ness, Arlington and Border avenues under a $125,000 project approved by the City Council on Tuesday.
The project will create a cul-de-sac at Border Avenue and smooth out the angled curve of Van Ness. Arlington will be widened and realigned to create a standard “T” intersection with Van Ness.
There will be emergency access through the cul-de-sac closing to allow faster response by police and firefighters.
