A knife fight inside a Northridge apartment this morning left one man dead, a woman injured and another man being sought by authorities, the Los Angeles police reported.

Investigators were still sorting out what happened during the 5:30 a.m. fight in the 8500 block of Balboa Boulevard, and the names of those involved were not released.

Lt. Harvie Eubank said several people were in an apartment drinking when an argument began between two men. The argument escalated into a knife fight during which one man was fatally stabbed and a woman, who may have attempted to intervene, was stabbed and seriously wounded.
