LAGUNA BEACH — The Laguna Art Museum has acquired seven new works for its permanent collection, including “Jerry Can Standard,” a mixed-media piece by Edward Kienholtz, and Ilene Segalove’s photographic piece “Fishy Date.” The Kienholtz is a gift from several donors; the Segalove has been donated by the artist. A retrospective of Segalove’s work, organized by the museum, is currently on view.
The other acquisitions are untitled paintings by Lita Albuquerque (a gift from the museum’s Contemporary Collectors Council) and Claude Buck (a gift from Naim Farhat); watercolors by Gerald Brommer and Milford Zornes (who donated each other’s work), and “Future of the Planet,” a watercolor and collage by Lynn Coleman (a gift from Michael C. McMillen and Tracey Shiffman).
These works will be shown to the public on a rotating basis.
