Elizabeth Taylor ‘Doing Well,’ in Stable Condition
Elizabeth Taylor, recovering from a near-fatal bout of viral pneumonia, was “doing very well” Friday after being moved out of intensive care at St. John’s Hospital and Health Center in Santa Monica, a spokeswoman said.
Taylor, who was transferred to a private suite Thursday evening, was in stable condition, the spokeswoman said.
The 58-year-old actress was placed in intensive care last Friday after being admitted to St. John’s earlier that week when her condition worsened. Results of a lung biopsy to determine the cause of the pneumonia have not been released.
