More Gnus About ‘Independence’: A preliminary injunction prohibiting the Gnu Theatre from opening its production of Lee Blessing’s “Independence” until at least three weeks after the Burbank Theatre production of the same play closes, was issued Wednesday by Superior Court Judge Pro Tem Virginia Chernack in Burbank. The producers of the Burbank production were ordered to post a $10,000 bond today against Gnu losses in case Chernack’s decision is reversed.
