Bellman and True (Bravo Tuesday at 5 p.m., again at 10 p.m.): This pungent 1988 British heist thriller stars Bernard Hill as a near-alcoholic computer systems engineer forced to help a gang try to crack Britain’s National General Bank. Handle With Care (A & E Wednesday at 8 a.m.): Also known as “Citizens Band,” this neglected 1977 Jonathan Demme film was the first major production to deal with the CB radio phenomenon. Writer Paul Brickman and Demme hit exactly the right balance between reality and make-believe to create a successful topical comedy that boasts considerable feeling for its people and insight into contemporary Americana.
