Sheriff’s deputies are still looking for the killer of a 28-year-old woman who was bludgeoned to death last week in her South San Gabriel home, authorities said Monday.
Patricia Corpolango’s body was found by her two daughters, ages 6 and 9, shortly before 6 a.m. Friday, said Deputy Dean Scoville of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The girls, who ran to a neighbor for help, were taken into protective custody, where they will remain until out-of-state relatives arrive, Scoville said.
Nearly two dozen cadets from the Sheriff’s Academy on Friday combed the five-acre lot surrounding Corpolango’s home but found no clues.
