Mr. Frisky Arrives at Pimlico to Ready for the Preakness
Mr. Frisky, the 3-year-old colt from Puerto Rico who went off as the favorite in last weekend’s Kentucky Derby but finished eighth, arrived at Pimlico Race Course Wednesday afternoon.
Nine horses were flown in Wednesday to await the 115th running of the Preakness Stakes on May 19.
Mr. Frisky, who was unbeaten in 16 races, faded in the stretch at Churchill Downs.
Wednesday’s flight from the West Coast, which made a stop in Louisville, Ky., also brought Preakness hopefuls Land Rush, Kentucky Jazz and Music Prospector.
Pleasant Tap, who took third in the Derby, arrived earlier in the week.
