1 Candidate Amid the Signs

Share

The election for Ventura County supervisor of the 4th Supervisorial District is just around the corner, June 5 to be exact, and I am very concerned.

I am concerned with how the communities are going to vote when most of the voters do not know who the candidates are and what issues they support.

Who could know what issues each candidate supports when the only messages we are receiving are in the form of large blue and gold, pink and white signs, posted at every corner throughout our community. This clutter does not communicate any issues nor what the candidate supports. Is this what running for office is about?

I found one candidate who is concerned with the issues. He is Glen Schmidt. He is not only concerned, but he is experienced as a Ventura County supervisor, a Moorpark planning commissioner and a Simi Valley civic leader and volunteer.

Glen Schmidt supports the preservation of our environment and ethical standards for all public officials. That is why he will not accept any contributions from land developers.

Therefore, on June 5 I am voting for Glen Schmidt to be our county supervisor.
