Brentwood : DWP Facility Open House
City Councilman Marvin Braude will join Los Angeles Department of Water and Power officials at the opening of a new electrical facility at Sunset Boulevard and Church Lane in Brentwood from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. The public is invited.
The open house will include tours of the facility, as well as informational exhibits, entertainment and refreshments, a DWP spokesman said.
The facility, which began operating last September, was built to relieve demand on nearby distributing stations and improve the reliability of electrical service in the area, project manager Ralph Jones said. It serves an area bounded by Mulholland Drive on the north, Wilshire and San Vicente boulevards on the south, Westwood Boulevard on the east and Bundy Drive on the west, he said.
