WASHINGTON — Raisa Gorbachev will join Barbara Bush in addressing the graduating class at Wellesley College on June 1, the White House announced.
“Mrs. Bush and Mrs. Gorbachev will both deliver remarks to the graduating class,” the First Lady’s press office said. The graduation will take place while their husbands meet in Washington.

Raisa Gorbachev, who holds a doctorate degree, formerly taught at a Soviet university.
