LOCAL : 2-Car Crash Victims Identified
A 22-year-old Costa Mesa woman who was killed in a two-car crash was identified as Jeannine Goochey by the coroner’s office today.
Two others were seriously injured in the accident in Santa Ana.
James Bridgeman, 32, of Newport Beach was listed in serious condition with a broken right arm and was being tested for possible cardiac contusion in the UCI Medical Center intensive care section, said spokeswoman Fran Tardiff.
Lisa Papa, 22, of Laguna Hills was in fair condition with a chest injury at the UCI Medical Center in Orange, Tardiff said.
Goochey was a passenger in a Nissan sedan that was traveling east on MacArthur Boulevard. Papa, the driver, attempted to make a left turn north on Flower Street but was broadsided by a Fiat convertible driven west on MacArthur by Bridgeman, Sgt. Phil Archer said.
