DEATHS : Ex-Hockey Star Earl Seibert

AGAWAM, Mass. —
Earl W. Seibert, a member of the National Hockey League Hall of Fame, has died of cancer.
Seibert died Sunday in Western Massachusetts Hospital. He was 79.
The star defenseman led the long-shot Chicago Black Hawks to the 1938 Stanley Cup championship; he also played with the New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings during his 15-year NHL career.
