SHORT TAKES : Dafoe to Play Jackson Pollock

Willem Dafoe has been signed to portray painter Jackson Pollock in “Love Affair,” a biographical film based on the artist’s life, which is scheduled to film next year.
The picture will follow the book “Love Affair,” written by Ruth Kligman 15 years ago dealing with her personal relationship with Pollock, who died in a car crash in the late 1950s. Elizabeth Le Compte will direct the movie from a script written by herself and Marry Harron.
