The Patio Playhouse Community Theatre in Escondido will stage a special benefit performance of “She Stoops to Conquer” for Jessica Esquivel, the 6-year-old girl whose seemingly ordinary case of chickenpox turned into a near fatal strep virus which necessitated the partial amputation of her arms and legs.
She remains hospitalized a month after surgery.
All proceeds from the Thursday’s performance will go directly to the parents of Jessica to help offset their mounting medical and personal expenses.
Tickets are $20. Call (619) 746-6669 for reservations.
