SAFETY SEATS: Parents at John Wayne Airport Tuesday had mixed feelings about a proposal that infants and toddlers be made to sit in airliner safety seats (B1). . . . Bettina Franz-Ip and her husband, Tzekin Ip, above, said a trip to Hong Kong would have been impossible if their two daughters hadn’t been allowed to fly at no charge. But they supported the proposal, even though the cost is “tough for us because we’re students,” Franz-Ip said.
