George H. Bloch, a longtime Southern California educator, has been hired as superintendent of Bellflower Unified School District.
Bloch will replace Kenneth L. Davis, who will retire in June, completing a 40-year career with the school district.
Bloch has been an administrator in several schools throughout the Los Angeles area, and most recently worked for the Huntington Beach Union High School District as assistant superintendent of instruction.
Bellflower school board President Phyllis John called Bloch’s commitment to education outstanding. “We are confident Dr. Bloch is the person who will continue to give this school district the excellent leadership it needs and deserves,” John said.
