THE SIDELINES : Suns to Meet Jazz in Tokyo

NEW YORK —
The Phoenix Suns and the Utah Jazz will meet for two games in Japan on Nov. 3-4, the first time an American pro sports league will hold a regular-season game outside North America, according to NBA Commissioner David Stern.
Although NBA games are televised in 75 countries, Stern said all previous international competition involving league members have either been exhibitions or tournament competitions. The games will be played at Tokyo’s Metropolitan Gymnasium.
