Carl Lewis indicated that he probably would not compete in the Goodwill Games in Seattle July 20-Aug. 5, even though he has been advertised as appearing.

The star sprinter-long jumper said the decision on whether he competes would be up to The Athletics Congress.

TAC, the national governing body for track and field, adopted a rule in December disqualifying any athlete not competing in the national championships from the Goodwill Games.
