ESCHEN, Liechtenstein — The U.S. national soccer team beat Liechtenstein, 4-1, today in a World Cup warm-up game before a crowd of 2,400.
The teams battled to a 1-1 tie in the first half.
Peter Vermes opened the scoring for the United States with a goal in the 10th minute. Also scoring for the U.S. team were Marcelo Balboa, Eric Wynalda and Chris Henderson.
Hans Marxer scored for Liechtenstein.
