SINGAPORE: South Coast Repertory’s John-David Keller plans to stay on in Singapore after the troupe’s visit there (F2) to direct a production of “Room Service.” But Keller had to sign a rather unusual contract to do so. A clause, an outgrowth of Singapore’s tough drug laws, notes that illegal drug use may be punishable by death. “I’d be a fool even to think it,” he said. “You know, I’ve never signed a contract with a death penalty before.”
