Joseph G. Jabbra has been appointed academic vice president at Loyola Marymount University. He is currently academic and research vice president at St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada. He will succeed the Rev. Albert Koppes, who, after a sabbatical, will return to Loyola Marymount as professor of education. Jabbra began his career at St. Mary’s University 18 years ago as assistant professor. He received a master’s in law and political science from the Universite Saint-Joseph in Beirut in 1965 and a doctorate in political science from the Catholic University of America in Washington in 1970. He will begin work at Loyola Marymount in July.
