Ford Motor Co. said today it is recalling about 2,700 of its new Explorer sport-utility vehicles to replace hinges on detachable sunroofs.

Ford said it was possible for an owner to misalign the sunroof hinges, which may cause the sunroof to fly off the vehicle while it is being driven.

The company also recalled 365 1990 model F- and B-series truck and bus chassis to replace an oversized brake cylinder installed during manufacturing.

Ford said it was aware of no injuries associated with either problem. Owners will be notified by mail and repairs will be performed free.
