Actor Cusack Is Fined for Drunk Driving
Actor John Cusack must give up driving for 90 days and pay an $876 fine for driving drunk and crashing his car into another vehicle in West Hollywood.
Cusack, 23, whose films include “Say Anything” and “The Sure Thing,” had pleaded no contest to misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol.
The actor sent his attorney to Beverly Hills Municipal Court for sentencing Friday, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Greg Lawler. The penalties are standard for first-time offenders, Lawler said.
Authorities said Cusack’s blood-alcohol level was 0.17%, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08, when he crashed Feb. 23 into a sports car on Santa Monica Boulevard. Neither driver was hurt.
