Alan (Captain America) Jones, 43, who swam hundreds of miles and dived into pools of snakes and piranhas to raise consciousness about fitness and funds for charity. He got into the Guinness Book of Records in 1984 by making 236 parachute jumps in 24 hours. His other feats included swimming across the strait of Juan de Fuca in handcuffs, swimming 620 miles down the Mississippi River in three weeks, and diving more than 50 times into pools of rattlesnakes or piranhas.
