Altadena : Panel to Review House Plan

A proposal to build 22 single-family homes on the western edge of Eaton Canyon will be reviewed by the Los Angeles County Regional Planning Commission within the next two months, said commission Clerk Betty Malcolm.
A county hearing officer scheduled to consider the proposal Tuesday decided instead to send it to the commission because of the complex land issues involved, Malcolm said.
Monterey Park developer Lao-Ko Chu seeks to construct 22 houses on a six-acre site north of New York Drive. Opponents say the site, a former stable, should remain undeveloped. They also contend the land is subject to flooding.
The Altadena Town Council last week recommended that an environmental impact report be prepared.
