Shooting Victim Dies of Injuries
A 29-year-old man who was shot outside a Van Nuys apartment Friday night died of his injuries Tuesday afternoon.
Raul Amparo Lopez of Panorama City was found lying in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 14500 block of Blythe Street just after midnight. He had been shot several times in the torso.
Police have no suspects or motive for the crime, but detectives said a crowd may have seen the shooting. “We have reason to believe that there may be as many as 20 witnesses. We’re looking at that right now,” Los Angeles police Detective Jim Vojtecky said.
