Santa Monica : Rent Board OKs Budget

The Rent Control Board has approved a $4.3-million budget--a 3% increase over last year--for the fiscal year beginning July 1.
The board also decided not to raise the annual fee of $144 a unit charged to landlords.
The majority of the budget--$3.2 million--is for salaries, including seven new staff positions that will increase the total staff to 59.
