CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : LOS ANGELES : Nazi Past Alleged of Riverside Man

The government moved to revoke the citizenship of a Riverside County man, alleging he concealed his past as a Nazi concentration camp guard when he emigrated to the United States after World War II. Johann Ziegler of Hemet also was a member of the Nazi’s infamous Death Head’s squad, a denaturalization complaint filed in U.S. District Court alleged. The complaint is the “first step” in an expected lengthy process of revoking Ziegler’s citizenship, the Justice Department said.
