Services for James Anderson, an 18-year-old Fillmore Senior High School graduate killed in a car accident last week, have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1017 First St., Fillmore.

Burial will follow at the Bardsdale Cemetery, 1698 S. Sespe St., Bardsdale.

Anderson, whose death shocked the small farming town, was killed when the car he was riding in veered off a road and smashed into a pole early Friday.

The driver of the car, Justin Neff, 20, remained in critical condition Sunday at Ventura County Medical Center with multiple internal injuries. Neff was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, the California Highway Patrol said.

The two men had attended a graduation party earlier in the evening, friends said, and Anderson had asked Neff for a ride home.
