Ivan Lendl and Steffi Graf were top seeded at Wimbledon, which begins next Monday.
Lendl, who has dedicated his season to finally winning Wimbledon, was picked over defending champion Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg, the 1988 winner and last year’s runner-up. Becker was seeded second and Edberg third. John McEnroe was seeded fourth.
Martina Navratilova was seeded second, followed by 16-year-old Monica Seles, who beat Graf for the French Open title this month. Jennifer Capriati, 14, was seeded 12th.
