La Mirada : $61,692 Contract Awarded for Concrete Storm Drain
Construction is scheduled to begin in August on a storm drain project to prevent flooding problems in the vicinity of Candlewood Country Club, under a $61,692 contract awarded by the County Board of Supervisors.
The drain, consisting of 24-inch reinforced concrete pipe, will begin at the west end of Viburnum Drive and extend 530 feet west and south along an easement through the golf course and empty into the north fork of Coyote Creek near Leffingwell Road. The site is in county territory between La Mirada and Santa Fe Springs.
Excel Paving Co. of Long Beach was the low bidder for the work, which is expected to take 30 days.
