A 40-year-old Santee man was rearrested Friday after the co-worker he was accused of shooting died at a San Diego hospital, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Allen Lowry had been arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon Wednesday night after Jeffrey Wise, 27, was shot in the face at the El Cajon auto repair shop where both men worked. Lowry was later released on bail.
After Wise died Friday at Sharp Memorial Hospital, Lowry was rearrested and the charge against him was upgraded to murder.
