Former International Boxing Federation light heavyweight champion Bobby Czyz (36-5) stopped 1988 Olympic light heavyweight gold medalist Andrew Maynard in the seventh round of a scheduled 10-round bout at Atlantic City, N.J.
Referee Frank Cappuccino halted the fight 42 seconds into the seventh when Maynard (12-1) failed to beat the count. He was dropped by a right hand and left hook.
