Bradbury : Trash Fee Decision Delayed
The City Council delayed action on a request for an 18% to 19% rate increase in what the contractor charges the city for garbage collection.
Peter Nadell of the Riverside-based National Environmental Waste Co. asked for the increase when the current contract is renewed later this summer. Mayor John Richards said based on figures he has seen, an increase of 12 to 13% seemed reasonable.
Council members told Nadell they would need more information about specifics of the increase request. Nadell said he would provide the information at the July 17 council meeting.
