Westwood Weather Station Shuts Down
The National Weather Service has closed its Westwood weather recording station, said Arthur Lessard, meteorologist in charge of the Los Angeles office. As a result, The Times will no longer be able to report the daily highs and lows for Westwood on its weather page.
Lessard said the electronic sensors had burned out and will not be replaced.
