Chris Chelios and Gary Suter, all-star NHL defensemen, were charged with fighting with two police officers who tried to arrest Chelios outside a bar in Madison, Wis.

Chelios, 28, who was traded by the Montreal Canadiens to the Chicago Blackhawks Friday, was accused of struggling with two officers as they tried to arrest him for urinating in public, according to a criminal complaint.

He was accused of resisting an officer and disorderly conduct after the brawl near Lundeen’s Off the Square tavern. He was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
