Australian entrepreneur Alan Bond said he will not contest the next America’s Cup series, to be held in San Diego in 1992.

Bond, who in 1983 became the first challenger to win the yachting trophy from the U.S. in 132 years, attributed his decision to finances and lack of preparation time.
